In our case, Fleur’s highlighted several key issues - including two different pathogens in her gut, a lack of resilience in her gut wall, and an overall lack of biodiversity due to repeated antibiotic treatments for her gastroenteritis.
With an overall score of just 17%, it was clear that work needs to be done to get her back to where she needs to be. Her individualised dietary recommendations mean that we’re adding extra fibre into her diet using carrot, celery and broccoli florets, as well as salmon oil to boost her omega-3 levels. We’re also cutting out the cheese (Sorry Fleur!) which even though she loves, we now know is working against our goal of restoring her gut health.
